Josh Downs Requests a Trade From the Colts: Is He the Right Fit for the Steelers?

Alan Saunders reacts to Jeremy Fowler's report that Josh Downs has formally asked the Colts for a trade, which continues Indianapolis' sell-off after the firing of Chris Ballard. Saunders calls Downs the best receiver known to be available, but he doubts the fit in Pittsburgh. Downs is a 5-foot-9 slot receiver who will be a free agent after the season, and the Steelers already have Roman Wilson and Jeremy Bernard working inside while the injured Michael Pittman Jr. leaves a hole outside. He sees Kansas City as the more likely buyer and argues that Brian Thomas Jr. would fit better alongside DK Metcalf.
