You can have all the interior offensive linemen that you want, but if you don't have reliable offensive tackle play, you're probably gonna run into some problems throughout the course of a season, which makes the news of Josh Simmons not practicing with the start of this season right on the doorstep that much more concerning.
Now, if you like silver linings, the interior trio of Kingsley Suamataia, Creed Humphrey, and Trey Smith is one heck of a trio to help mash the football, and with running back Kenneth Walker in the backfield, you would think the Chiefs are going to remain committed to the idea of running the football more to help them stay more balanced and on schedule in twenty twenty-six.
But Simmons is very much a piece of the pie here that should be considered essential personnel, and if they have to play an extended period of time without him, and backs are scary, scary business for offensive linemen.
