Kelsey Mitchell on Caitlin Clark Scrutiny as Fever GM Defends Fans

Indiana Fever players say playing alongside Caitlin Clark brings extra scrutiny and pressure. Kelsey Mitchell said the hate and backlash can make days "hard as hell," and that players need grace even in an organization she called unbelievable. Fan behavior also became an issue after A'ja Wilson had a confrontation with a Fever fan during Game 2 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever investigated, found the fan did not break the code of conduct and let him return to his seat. GM Amber Cox defended the fan base, saying no fan was removed for a WNBA code of conduct violation this season. Brianna Turner later pushed back on Cox's statement.
