Orange Blossom Classic 2026 executive director Kendra Bulluck-Major discusses with Kyle T. Mosley of HBCU Legends the coaching rivalry between Chennis Berry (South Carolina State) and Quinn Gray Sr. (FAMU).

To be able to have South Carolina State, again the reigning um HBCU national champions, to have Coach Gray, you know, coming back home um to his not only his alma mater and FAMU but to also come back home to South Florida, you know, born and raised here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, graduate of Dillard High School, um, as you said before, you know, these two coaches have faced off at the Division 2 level, so to Now see what they're going to do against each other, both being now at the Division One level and then of course renewing that SWAC MAC, well that MEAAC rivalry between FAMU and South Carolina State.
So it's a lot of.
Yeah, look.
Also to have such swagger between those two guys and Yeah, and having the swagger between those two guys really helps as well, right?
Oh yes, listen, I, I think we had our press conference back in May and um I told the audience, I said I'm on like my 3rd cup of coffee and I still don't think I have the level of energy that.
Well, You know, Coach Barry.
He's always gonna bring some energy as well as Coach Gray.
