Kerr and Finch Say NBA's Flopping Crackdown Is Aimed at the Wrong Players
Before Wednesday's Warriors-Timberwolves game, Steve Kerr and Chris Finch said they want flopping gone but questioned how the NBA is going after it. They were reacting to three straight flopping calls late in Tuesday's Portland-Los Angeles game. Finch wants officials to focus on offensive players who fall down to draw free throws, not defenders who exaggerate contact. Kerr pointed to grabbing, hooking and overreactions to screens, said players keep finding ways to exploit officiating, and noted Golden State has already sent in clips of defensive dives around screens. He also praised the officials and said how hard their job is.
