Knicks Sweep Cavaliers, Reach First NBA Finals Since 1999 Behind Brunson MVP Run

The New York Knicks are headed to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 after a 130-93 Game 4 demolition of the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Arena. Jalen Brunson was named the unanimous Eastern Conference Finals MVP as New York completed its second straight sweep and pushed its win streak to 11 — a mark only four teams in NBA history have matched in a single postseason. Karl-Anthony Towns posted 19 points and 14 rebounds, OG Anunoby chipped in 17, and Donovan Mitchell led Cleveland with 31 in defeat. The Knicks now await the winner of the Spurs-Thunder Western Conference Finals, with the NBA Finals tipping off June 3rd. New York hasn't won a title since 1973.
