Kyle Larson gives his thoughts after winning at Gondik Law Speedway with Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing.

Video Transcript

All right, I went out on a limb and ventured during our pre-feature conversation between Chase and I that you enjoyed this style of racetrack, and it kind of leaned into your driving nature.

Was that the case?

What is racing around Gandag Claus Speedway like?

Yeah, I don't know.

I mean, it's a, it's a cool track, like a great shape for sprint car racing, great dirt.

this orange dirt, you know, is some of the best in the country.

a lot like Port Royal, really, really slick, in the slick where it gets black.

So that was getting me a little bit nervous there at the end.

you know, I know Justin, he was kind of running lower than me it sounded like in one and two, and then, when he, he slid me there into one on the restart, I wasn't sure if I could get enough of a exit, 'cause I figured his car was probably pretty good to do that.

So, but yeah, then I just picked the pace up and, tried to run a little harder.

So, yeah, hats off again, to Paul and Trevor.

It's been a great week so far and, you know, hopefully we can keep it up, I guess with one more race for me this week.

This race car seems deadly.

It doesn't hurt that you're behind the wheel driving it.

Is this the kind of dominance that we can expect to see if you did get to run a full-time High Limit Sprint Car schedule, where every night you're just getting more and more comfortable, or is this just status quo for you?

I don't know.

I mean, I, I always wondered that, how we would do if we ran a full season.

And, and 2020 I think kind of proved how lethal we could be if, you give Paul, you know, enough nights at it and get me, you know, more nights behind the wheel too.

So, these tracks are, been a lot different than what we've ran on so far, to start the year for me.

So, I don't know if they've just suited our style or, or what, but, we definitely have been a lot more competitive here these first three nights of this week than we have, you know, the other races this year.

So happy about that.

Hopefully it means we are getting our car better.

You just don't ever know until you get, to some of the bigger races with the, with all the competition.

So, look forward to, to some of those.

And, thanks, to all of our partners, StandardCars.com, Flow Racing, All Ball, Durst, Glenn Stires, Roto-Rooter, JBI Group, Works Limited, everybody on this car for, for what they do.

So, look, look forward to tomorrow and hopefully we can keep the streak going.

Take this Chasm Safety Products win sticker for you.

you started third, you finish in first, your third win in three nights.

Where are you sending High Limit Racing's Angel donors 1,500 plus an additional $250 from David Barnes?

What charity is getting all that money tonight?

Oh, well, first I, I think I forgot to thank the Folken brothers, so I wanna thank them as well.

But, yeah, we'll stick it, with the, the Bundle of Joy fund for Kyle and Samantha Busch again.

So, you know, it feels good to, to win a- and be able to, to give back to them, and, and hopefully we can just keep it up.
