You know, you and I had a conversation, I just was reminded of it.
This was about, I would say about six years ago, and we always looked at the Chargers as being, oh yeah, the team from San Diego is now back in LA again.
Has that transition gone a little better for them over the last couple years?
Has, has it now been a little more easier for Los Angeles sports fans to embrace the, Chargers?
Because it was a tough putt at the beginning, them going back to LA.
So Dan, I The, the tough thing for them, and we just touched on it, is what the Rams are doing.
So while the Chargers have Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert, and they've brought in Mike McDaniel, and, and normally you would be excited about that.
It has been dwarfed by the Rams.
I mean, no one's talking about the Chargers.
And the other thing that really hurts them, and the folks in San Diego, you know, unfortunately saw this.
You know, if they have a good season, and then they get into the playoffs, and then they have a dud of a postseason game, that's the issue.
The Chargers have sort of been lumped in with the Clippers here in Los Angeles.
So as much as I think that they're gonna be a good team, Dan, I think they might win 10 games.
I think they're gonna be a, a playoff team.
You're in the city with the Los Angeles Rams, who are the biggest favorites according to Vegas to win the Super Bowl that we've had in years.
So it doesn't really I don't wanna say it doesn't matter what they do , but they're in Los Angeles with the Rams.
So Dan, I don't think a lot has changed in the, in, in the six years that we've been talking about the Chargers in Los Angeles.
They have not moved the needle here.
I gotta tell you what will move the needle in the next couple years here.
This is what we're gonna have in LA, ready?
You're gonna have the Super Bowl and you're gonna have the Olympics.
Yeah.
I mean, this has gotta be one of the most energizing times in Los Angeles for sports across the board because Super Bowl's around the corner and so are the Olympic Games.
I mean, Dan, the way that we, hosted the World Cup as well, I think everyone who came to those World Cup games had such a great time.
And to your point, you know, World Cup, Super Bowl, the Olympics.
I mean, I, again, we are in such a great time in Los Angeles.
I loop in San Diego with that 'cause I just think it's a, it's a great train ride.
So I always tell folks, what a great time to be in Southern California.
Again, sports with the Dodgers, and the Lakers, and the Padres and all that, but to your point, these generational events.
So, so excited for the upcoming Super Bowl this year, but then also the Olympics.
And again, by the way, swimming, Dan, I think you know this, but swimming will be at SoFi Stadium.
How cool is that?
Oh my God.
No, no, I've been to SoFi and, I live in Southern California too, and I gotta tell you- That's right like you said, it's gonna be like looped in throughout the entire next seven, eight months here because the, uh- Right we got the Super Bowl coming around and we've got the Olympic Games coming around.
And coming off the World Cup, as you said, that was an electric event there at SoFi.
