Lack Of Conversation Regarding Blue Jackets' Jenner's Contract Status Is Not Right

You know what?
I'm gonna go nay on this.
And the reason I'm gonna go nay is I feel that the one thing Columbus is missing right now is, like, scoring punch.
Okay.
They have some, but not enough.
And at some point, as, as great as Boone Jenner has been for Columbus as a two-way guy, I just feel like they need to bring more offensive weapons in.
and, you know, for the amount of money you're gonna have to pay him, 'cause he deserves a, a decent paycheck- Mm-hmm I think maybe you could find somebody that could gives you a little, a little more offensive punch.

Yeah, I don't think he's coming back either.
And I, I'll just point to what Rick Bonas said in his, basically his final interview, you know, following their last game of the season.
Like, he, he says, "If I'm back, I'm changing this culture."
Well, you change the culture with your leadership group.
Mm-hmm.
And if Boone Jenner was the captain of a culture that, you know, is, I don't wanna say toxic, but it needs changing- Right if you're gonna get into the playoffs, well, that seems like a no-brainer.
Yeah.
First of all, taking the captaincy away from him.
But, you know, maybe he just doesn't get re-signed.
You know, maybe he's the sacrificial lamb in all of this.
So yeah, I don't see him coming back.
