Langeliers, Neto Headline AL West Trade Candidates Before 2027

Five AL West players could be on the move before Opening Day 2027. Houston's Christian Walker, 35, has hit 25 or more homers in five straight seasons and dealing him could ease a crowded infield, while Texas may shop MacKenzie Gore after a 4.58 ERA over 173 innings, with his $9.8 million 2027 salary a draw for teams needing a starter. Seattle must decide whether to keep Logan Gilbert, due $15 million, or move him in a possible rebuild. Athletics catcher Shea Langeliers brings power and team control through 2029, and the Angels could package Zach Neto, a 20-homer hitter three years running, with Mike Trout to move Trout's contract.
