Latest NHL Trade Sets Flyers Up for Big Trade Deadline
The Philadelphia Flyers are about to have a unique opportunity to take full advantage of a crazy trade market ahead of this year's March 6 NHL trade deadline.

You know, are the Flyers handling this the right way, or who's to blame in all this?
I mean, I think it's the classic, right?
Like, the player- they want the player to produce.
The player's sitting there saying, "I'd produce if I played more."
The coach is saying, the coach is saying, "You need to play better to get more ice time."
And it's funny because you look at his first season, and when things aren't going well, everything else gets brought into the picture, right?
So I'm not sure if he did show up with a little bit higher body fat than maybe he did his first year, or I don't know if he missed the appointment or not, but if the Flyers were winning hockey games and he was scoring goals, none of this would be an issue.
And that- neither of those things are happening, so that's why it's becoming an issue.
I think that anytime a GM goes out of his way to address the media, there's obviously something going on there.
That's not something we see a lot in the league today.
but I, I think it's interesting to look at, right?
And, like, you kinda see it.
I think that, like, that's where there's not a ton of development that goes on at the NHL level between coaches, and I think that's why the certain guys who I know do a really good job of that, like a Ryan Warsofsky, in San Jose I mean, it's funny, there's been this narrative for so long that once players get to the NHL, like, you're basically just taught how to play the system better, but there's not a huge emphasis on helping that player get better.
And I think that's why we're gonna see more coaches like Ryan Warsofsky and the David Carles of the world start coming into some of these teams, because I think that's been something that's been kinda overlooked in the league for a long time and a reason guys like Adam Oates and Joey Hishon and some of these guys have the businesses that they do- because players still wanna be getting better.
I think that he's definitely hasn't taken that step this year.
he's an entertaining player to watch, and hopefully, for Philadelphia's sake and their fans' sake, they can figure out this relationship, and he can have a good final kinda quarter of the season to get moving.
