I'm totally with that, and we were really hyping up this discussion about Logan Webb.
So without further ado, here it is, because he is What's Up, presented by Service Champions.
When you look at some of his numbers against the Rockies, I know you pointed out, Sean, while his last start wasn't great against the Rockies, but overall he's been pretty good throughout the course of his career at home against this ball club.
Today was no different as he goes six innings, gives up four hits, one earned run, no walks, seven K's.
Pretty good stat line there.
However, he did potentially suffer something with his shoulder.
He got hit in the back of the shoulder in the fifth inning by a line drive, I believe off the bat of Brendan Sullivan.
Don't know if there's any reason for concern there, but, he continued his positive trend against the Rockies.
Yeah, he was awesome.
I mean, he's been great his whole career against the Rockies.
I mean, had, has some rough outings in Colorado, but at home he's been absolutely dominant and he did exactly that today.
He watched the game yesterday.
He saw the swings the lefties were taking against, Landon Rooth.
He saw that they were geared down to, to, in, in the zone.
They hit Landon Rooth pretty hard at the bottom of the zone, so what was he gonna do?
I mean, that's his strength as well.
Mm-hmm.
Sinkers, change-ups, breaking balls down in the zone.
Well, he went against his strengths completely today.
Yeah.
He threw cutters and four-seamers.
I mean, he really- Okay I mean, so, so today he threw 24% of his pitches were cut fastballs.
You know what he's averaging on the year in cutters?
13%.
So he doubled his cutter usage.
His four-seam usage today was 30%, one in almost every three pitches he threw was a four-seam fastball.
On the year it's 13%.
So he said, and I even said this in the post game yesterday about Rooth, is that he needed to go cutter, four-seamer- Right, yep because that's, that, but it's against what you do well.
But it's, yeah.
Right?
So- It's not what he's confident in he can adjust.
That's how good he is.
They were one for eight, oh for five versus the four-seamer and he had four strikeouts, and they were one for eight versus the change-up.
Still can get outs with the change-up, but how he set them up got 'em thinking about the cutter- Mm-hmm and four-seamer is how he was able to get b- guys out down in the zone.
Mm-hmm.
So I, I just, it, it's, it's Logan Webb, at his best, ad libbing, making adjustments, studying.
I mean, he's g- he's just really good.
Logan Webb is really good, and I was just trying to scour Twitter to see if there's any update on that shoulder, but we're gonna hear from him after the break.
