Mac, talk to me.
This is your second Titans University.
Yeah.
How's it been so far?
It's great.
I love Titan University.
I call it TUT 'cause we're Titan University throwers.
Tell me, I mean, this is your second year now with the Niners.
Yeah.
What did you learn your first season?
I learned to love football again, which is important, and learn from some great coaches and players.
And you can always learn, and, and that's what it's all about.
So I'm looking forward to learning more and more every year.
It seemed like the relationship between you and Brock was just so tight.
Yeah.
You taught him a little bit.
I think you taught him to have a little bit more fun too.
Yeah, I hope so.
Brock's, Brock is awesome, and he's, he's a great personality.
He's a great guy, and I'm always a fan of him.
I've always have been, and I always will be 'cause he's the man.
All right.
What are you, what are your goals for this season?
to improve.
focus on me, have tunnel vision, and, be a great teammate like I was last year and continue to do that.
And, I wanna get a little faster this off-season, so working on cutting down some weight, improving my speed and change of direction.
And other than that, it's a mindset for me.
Just have that good mindset.
And Kyle Shanahan goes through the films and kind of gives quarterbacks, you know, things to work on.
Yeah.
What, what, what are his teaching points for you?
it was good.
Last year, we had a really good, tape breakdown like I'm talking about.
And I mean, there were some good things.
Nothing major, but a little bit stuff with, like, the depth of my drop, how deep I'm going back to help out the linemen.
so just little things that I'm first year in the system, but I wanna build and do it again.
And what did you think about being with the 49ers?
I mean, this is your, you know- Yeah multiple stops.
It's the best, yeah.
What is it about the 49ers that- It's great.
I love them.
it's a great organization, and I know it's gonna help me with my future off the field, on the field, everything.
So I'm, I'm excited.
I got that year and looking forward to just taking it day by day from here on out.
A few changes on the offensive coaching staff.
Yeah.
Have you gotten any indication of, like, what and how it will change at all for you?
it has been pretty much the same, honestly.
Kyle runs the show, and he got obviously Clay and Mick and everybody there.
And there's been some shuffling, but obviously Flurry left us for Seahawks.

How dare you?
I'm just kidding.
But good for him.
Great guy, and really looking forward to just being coached by some good people again.
Now, a lot of people have come in and said Kyle Shanahan changes the way you look at the game.
Yeah.
Is that, is that what happened to you as well?
Yeah.
He gives you some really good contact sentences 'cause he teaches you how to see it, but you don't have to do much.
It just kind of happens, you know?
Uh-huh.
So what is it about his film breakdowns that make it so unique?
He understands offensive line, defensive line, linebackers, safety.
He understands all 22, and that's why he's so good.
