That fourth inning, a lot of 0-2 counts.
Got ahead of guys, but, you know, 40 pitches is a lot.
What did you see going on in that inning?
Yeah, you know, I, I mean, it's, it's pretty remarkable that he got through that inning with only giving up two runs.
Like you said, he had a lot of guys with two strikes, just couldn't finish, execute the pitch.
You know, but, I mean, again, you give up two, you have the bases loaded, nobody out, and, you strike out the side.
That, that says a lot about just the, the competitor.
You know, he showed a lot of maturity there, and growth, just in terms of bearing down and, and, and ending that inning.
You had the bullpen going.
I mean, how close were you just taking him out there?
Yeah, I mean, that was his last hitter really.
I mean And, and he got through it.
So, you know, we're balancing here, like we talk about, with a young starter that's reached his innings.
You know, we're late in the season.
You know, his future is, is equally or even more important than, that game there.
And, and obviously, as a competitor, he wants to go back out on the mound.
But at 82 pitches and throwing 40 plus in, in the fourth inning, it, it's time to take care of him.
Bullpen again, Johnson, Blewitt and Tur.
What do you think of their job today?
Best I've seen Johnson, obviously.
I thought his slider was, was great today.
Used it against the lefties too.
He got swing and miss.
You know, that was a great outing for him.
Blewitt for an inning, and, and really Tur managing the top of the order there.
You know, a, a different kid from the first outing to now, so that's great.
So will, will be pretty good, from your perspective on how you did today as- Well, he didn't miss location today.
He had everything working.
And, you know, for us, I mean, we've had trouble with him.
You know, we try to get him out of games, but, we couldn't get the pitch count up, and he just kept executing pitches today.
Which last So you see the, road trip, four and three, coming in here and taking three of four.
No, good road trip.
I mean, yeah, you'd love to have swept a, a series, especially on the road, but, overall, winning a series here in Seattle, you know, winning road trip says a lot about the club.

How do you kind of What're you trying to feel is going on in that inning, so?
I don't know.
I thought I made, some good pitches, and, you know, the two strike hits, I feel like, I don't know how many times it happened.
But Naylor, I think, jumped on one early.
But besides that, I feel like all of them are two strikes, so that's just super frustrating.
I mean, I got into those good counts and should've been able to put them away or gotten some kind of weak contact.
But yeah, just, I don't know.
I'll go back and look at, you know, where those pitches were at.
But yeah, it just sucks.
Do you take any type of silver lining from striking out three in the, in a row, just to keep limit the damage there?
Yeah, I mean, I thought mentally I was, you know, trying to keep them there.
So, I don't know how many pitches I threw that inning, but at that moment, it was like, "All right, let's just try to keep them here and focus on, on getting ahead and then, executing a pitch with two strikes."
But after that inning, yeah, I mean, it's just really frustrating coming out of the game.
Again, like four innings, it's just I don't know.
Try to make some adjustments, but I feel like with two strikes, I just can't give up hits like that, so.
The first three innings were pretty efficient from a stuff perspective.
Do you feel like today was better than, last time out in Texas?
Yeah, definitely.
I, I was happy with the first three innings.
I think, putting the ball where I want it to go and mixing a little bit.
But yeah, kind of somehow fell apart that fourth.
So I don't know.
