What will it take for the Mets to 'be back?' | The Mets Pod

On The Mets Pod, Connor Rogers and Joe DeMayo debate what it would take for the Mets to be considered "back," and set a line for the team to cross by the time Francisco Lindor returns from the injured list.

Video Transcript

Connor, I, I just have one, one real question for you.

Are the Mets back?

No.

Uh- Oh, okay they're trying to inch towards- Sorry being back, which is better- The, they're better- than where they were it's better than losing every day, and there's certainly gonna be some things we're gonna talk about.

There were some things that obviously weren't great, but when you win more games than you lose in a week, it is at least a step in the right direction.

I will declare the Mets back, and this is unlikely, if they climb back to .500 before Francisco Lindor returns.

That is when I will declare the Mets are back.

That gives them- Oh as we sit here- Oh the end of the first week of May, they probably have what?

Six weeks to do that?

At l- yeah, at least.

Like, I think- At least I think Li- I think Lindor's gonna be out quite a while.

Like, we still don't even have any update other than he's not in a boot, and the only reason I know that is because I saw him- He's at the Knicks game walk on the court, or the Knicks game.

So no boot, so that's like a step in the right direction, but this sounds like something like if I had to guess, Connor, we're looking at, you know, sometime in the month of July
