And so keeping with the theme of Mets in the World Baseball Classic, I mean, we touched on the Dominican Republic, arguably the most stacked lineup ever assembled.
The batting third in that team Dominican lineup was Juan Soto, and he had a solid tournament for the Dominican Republic.
I mean, Juan Soto did Juan Soto things.
He sl- slash lined, sorry, a slash line of 261, 393, 522, two home runs, four RBIs.
So not quite mid-season form because we know just how good Juan Soto can be.
But again, seeing guys in this, quote-unquote, "ramp up period," I mean, 261 is respectable.
Two home runs, four RBIs in six games, also respectable.
I mean, if I'm a Mets fan, I mean, I'm getting excited seeing my guys play on this high level right before the season starts.
Yeah.
Mets fans, you can trust me, even though I'm a Yankees fan, I have no hate for Juan Soto.
I think he's a great player.
yeah, and I mean, like you mentioned, this is kind of almost spring training for those guys.
I mean, I know they're playing a little bit harder.
It's obviously not spring training level effort.
They were playing like, USA was playing like it was spring training.
