Michael Bisping rips ‘ridiculous’ reason Paddy Pimblett’s UFC purse is withheld
UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping criticized a rule that allows fighter purses to be withheld for post-fight cage celebrations, calling for change. He cited Paddy Pimblett's purse being withheld after a first-round submission of Benoit St. Denis at UFC 329 in July at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Bisping also noted related reviews involving Max Holloway and Gable Steveson after similar cage jumps. On his YouTube channel, he said many MMA athletes, including himself at UFC 199, have celebrated this way and compared it to boxers standing on the ropes. He argued fines and withholdings are unnecessary and said the policy "needs to be changed."
