Should Michigan football be favored vs Oklahoma?
Prompted by a live viewer question, Tony and Andrew preview Michigan's second matchup of the year against Oklahoma on "Hail Yes!"

Let's take MichiganGoBlue's, question now, and then we'll get to the rest of the roster.
So, he wants to know if we have a prediction for the Oklahoma game.
So this time, returning the trip to Ann Arbor are the Sooners.
It's still weird to say Oklahoma in the SEC, but a, a Big Ten-SEC showdown, and one of those games that will matter, as we talk throughout the entire season, when we're comparing who, who get Which conference gets which teams in.
While Michigan beat X, Y, and Z, and they, since they beat Oklahoma, does that put them ahead of, you know, Texas, who lost to Oklahoma?
I mean, these games have so much importance early in the season.
Didn't we look up the spread last week?
Isn't, Michigan a slight favorite?
Michigan by, Michigan by two and a half, yeah.
Yeah.
So, never too early for a prediction, so you got one?

It, it's almost a little too early for a prediction.

I think we're gonna do a show on this in, in, in a couple weeks.
Right now, and I would probably lean slightly Oklahoma, from just an experience factor.
But of the big four Put it this way, of the big four games, of Indiana, O- Oklahoma, Oregon, and Ohio State, I would say Oklahoma is the, is the game that I would feel the best about Michigan's chances in, e- even if it is early in the year.
And I'd even feel a little better if, if it was a few weeks later.
Obviously, you get them week two, so there's nothing you can do about that, and you feel good about being at home.
You shouldn't have to put too much on tape against Western.
It could be a pretty vanilla game plan and st- and, and still come out of there with a win.
But the idea of Brent Venables having already seen Bryce Underwood, and then now getting to see him again, knowing sort of what worked, what didn't.
I mean, Oklahoma returns, like, I don't know if it's their whole defense, but it is so much of their defense.
Their defense is- I mean, I mean- I was just reading the other day how loaded this Oklahoma defense is gonna be.
Their de- yeah, their, their defense is really elite.
And like, like I think, like elite to the point where I, I don't think Cole Sullivan, Michigan, who was a standout linebacker for Michigan last year, transferred to Oklahoma.
Like, he's not even a shoo-in as a starter.
Like he, I, like I saw he's, like competing to start.
Well- and- That makes that move baffling, that if that's true.
I mean, that was- Yeah whoops, a whoopsie on his part.
Yeah.
No, for real.
Uh- If he, if he doesn't make it if you think about how much Michigan could use a Cole Sullivan right now.
I know.
Uh- Well, that's what, yeah, that's what I was gonna say for my prediction, actually, is that, like, John Matusiak versus those Michigan linebackers in the scrambling game.
I mean, that's, I feel like that's where the game's gonna come down to, right?
Like, can they contain his legs, and make him a pocket passer?
Because last year, Matusiak, I mean, I think we ended up saying that we, I, I think I ended up predicting he was gonna be a Heisman winner after that Michigan game last year, right?
So if he comes into the Big House and dances all over those, that Michigan defense and the linebackers struggle, it's gonna be the first real test for that unit that is the biggest question mark coming in.
