I'm live at Nationals Park, getting ready for Game 2 of the series between the Mariners and the Nationals.

You can see behind me, we are in the bowels of the staircase here at Nationals Park.

Just wanna tell you real quick about Bryce Miller.

He was phenomenal on Friday night in a win.

Eight innings pitched, first time he'd ever recorded an out in the eighth inning as a starter.

Eight innings, he had seven strikeouts.

He also spoke after the game, though, about his desire to get more ground balls this season, and he did, and he did get six of those in the win on Friday.

Talked about experimenting with ground ball or trying to get more ground balls.

couple weeks ago in Sacramento when the team played the A's, he's talked about, you know, having the ability to get more double plays when he gets into trouble, talked about the ability to get the ball on the ground, and have the offerings and the diverse repertoire to be able to get those balls on the ground.

So Bryce Miller has been excellent.

He's unbeaten, 3 and 0.

He'll take the mound again next week, and the Mariners will go for a season win, or a series win rather, against the Nationals here on Saturday.
