Mississippi State QB Kamario Taylor Out for Season With Toe Injury

Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor will miss the rest of the 2026 season with a toe injury that will likely require surgery. His breakout play drove wins over Minnesota, South Carolina and Missouri and lifted the Bulldogs into the top 25. Then turf toe suffered against Missouri slowed him against Alabama, kept him out of a shutout loss to LSU and forced him out in the first half against Oklahoma. Parker Puckett takes over at quarterback, and running back Fluff Bothwell (91 carries, 514 yards, three touchdowns) returns this week. Taylor still leads the conference with 17 touchdown passes.
