Monday's Loss to Red Sox Perfectly Summarizes Seattle Mariners Season
The 2026 season has been a frustrating ride for the Mariners, and Monday was the cherry on the cake.

I don't care to point the finger at any one person.
It is everybody, right?
Everybody had a hand in this.
Now, so George Kirby fails to go six innings.
I've been telling you for months, this team is best served when its starters go six or seven and the bullpen is less exposed.
So George Kirby goes five and gives up five.
That right there, A, you've given up five runs, and B, your starter only goes five, so now your bullpen is forced to be overexposed.
So Sir Anthony Dominguez has to pitch the sixth, Gabe Speier has to pitch the seventh, then you go to the eighth, and now Bazardo continues to struggle.
And all of this Look, so Bazardo has his moments, Kirby has his moments, Julio has his moment in the ninth with the Roman Anthony play, and then I, I haven't even mentioned that the bases were loaded with nobody out earlier in the game and the Mariners couldn't do more than get one run.
They had a runner at third and nobody out in the top of the ninth inning, and the Julio play wouldn't have mattered.
But instead, they don't score that run.
