More Details From Jose Ramirez' Reported Contract Extension With Guardians
Jose Ramirez's reported contract extension with the Cleveland Guardians has multiple bonuses and perks.

Jose Ramirez is staying with the Cleveland Guardians for the long haul.
With multiple reports indicating on Saturday morning that the superstar third baseman had signed a contract extension and also a little bit of a contract restructuring for him to stay.
With the Guardians through the twenty thirty-two season.
Which is the next seven years, with the dollar amount being 175 million.
Dollars.
A little bit after those initial reports revealed, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic did share some more details.
Perks and bonuses that are included in Ramirez's contract.
Which I'm gonna break down right now.
Rosenthal did note, and he was one of the first ones to note that the Rose-Ramirez will have some deferred money as a part of this deal.
Like I said, the deal is in total worth a 175 million dollars, but it's gonna be 25 million dollars for the 2026 through the 2032 season.
And there will be ten million dollars deferred for each season.
That's seventy million dollars in total deferred money.
There also are some bonuses attached to this deal as well.
If Jose Ramirez does win MVP, he receives five hundred thousand dollars.
If he comes in second or third place, he receives three hundred thousand dollars.
If he comes in fourth or fifth place, he receives a hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
And then there's also other incentives for if he ends up reaching the All-Star game.
Receives other MVP voting as well.
Those numbers were not disclosed by Rosenthal.
Though.
Some of the perks that Ramirez is getting as a part of this new deal, this new restructured contract with the Guardians.
Is that he will be getting, um... Like I said, Another perk is that he will be getting a ride on the Guardians' private jet.
Trip, one round trip a year, which includes the All-Star, or which doesn't include the All-Star game, and he also will get additional hotel room on the road as well.
Which I'm assuming he'll definitely be using for his family.
We know Ramirez is a very big family man, as well.
So overall, this news is fantastic.
Ramirez is solidifying himself as a Cleveland legend, and honestly, with this new contract, he definitely has an argument for being the greatest Cleveland athlete of all time, based on that legacy that he's leaving with himself.
It's gonna be such an awesome standing ovation the first time that Ramirez takes an at- bat at Progressive Field in 2000 and twenty-six, and I can't wait to watch it.
