Mm-hmm.

Kobe and Andrew Bynum was such a risk that not enough people talk about.

When they look at the 2009 and 2010 championship teams, we hear so much about Pau Gasol and Ron Artest and these guys who were fixtures in those two championships.

But the Lakers doubled down on Andrew Bynum when it could have gone all wrong, because that year after they extended him, Bynum actually tore his MCL, but he played through it.

He played through it and helped them win a championship, and you remember who he beat in those NBA finals in 2009?

Oh, yeah.

Mr. Dwight Howard.

Bynum came off of a season-ending injury, got injured again, played through it, and then beat Dwight Howard in the NBA finals and won his first ring, helped Kobe win his first without Shaq.

Yeah.

Cemented himself as, this is the Lakers guy moving forward.
