NBA Partners With Kalshi and Polymarket, Gains Veto Over Prediction Markets
The NBA announced Monday that Kalshi and Polymarket are now its preferred prediction market exchanges. Both companies get league and team logos, official data to settle markets and advertising during game broadcasts. In return, the league can reject any market it finds objectionable, a power it doesn't have with its sportsbook partners. Both companies will help flag suspicious trading, work against insider trading and share data with league investigations, and players, team staff and league personnel are barred from betting on these markets. The deals come as New York state pursues ongoing lawsuits accusing both companies of running unlicensed sports gambling.
