Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was absent from Wednesday's practice after experiencing swelling in his right knee.

According to team officials, the flare-up is directly tied to his PCL injury that compromised his twenty twenty-five campaign, with reports confirming that the front office is exploring all options.

The timing of the setback could not be worse for the twenty twenty-four first round selection.

Having missed a total of fourteen games for his first two NFL seasons due to a combination of hamstring and knee issues, the twenty twenty-six campaign was primed to be a pivotal year for Pearsall.

Expected to secure a primary starting role opposite veteran off-season addition Mike Evans, Pearsall instead finds his availability in question before the pads have even been strapped on.

While Pearsall works through evaluations with the medical staff, his absence has opened up immediate first team reps for others in the receiving corps.

On day three, veteran wideout DeMarcus Robinson stepped into Pearsall's starting Z recei- Z receiver slot, instantly making an impact by hauling in three passes from B-Brock Purdy.

Simultaneously, second round rookie Dejean Stribling continued his impressive start to camp.

Stribling reeled in five receptions across various quarterbacks groups on Wednesday.

With Christian Kirk currently sidelined by a calf strain and Pearsall's knee requiring further medical clarity, San Francisco's depth is already being tested.

For now, all eyes in Santa Clara remain focused on the training room, hoping for positive news for number fourteen before the team transitions into full contact practices.
