Carson Schwessinger, who won the twenty twenty-five Defensive Rookie of the Year award, has been named the Cleveland Browns' most underpaid player by NFL analyst Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report.
Schwessinger was the thirteenth highest graded qualified run-blocking linebacker at Pro Football Focus last season.
And because he's only a se-- because he's a second-round pick, Schwessinger is owed just nine million dollars over the course of the next three total seasons, which is a huge, huge, huge bargain for the Cleveland Browns, considering he might be a top five linebacker already.
Schwessinger appeared in thirteen games for the Browns last season.
He finished with two and a half sacks, sixty-seven solo tackles, eleven tackles for loss, and nine quarterback hits.
Schwessinger led all rookies last season with his one hundred and forty-six tackles and eleven tackles for loss, and he was tied, with, He was tied for second with two interceptions.
He recorded double-digit tackles in seven games.
And with Schwessinger and Myles Garrett leading the defense next season, the Browns figure to have one of the elite defenses in the league.
