NFL Keeps Steelers vs. Saints Paris Game On as Protests Hit Third Week
The NFL said Wednesday that the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints will still meet October 25 at Stade de France in Saint-Denis, north of Paris, even as violent protests in the city enter their third week. The league says preparations are continuing and that it is working closely with local authorities and partners on security and operations. It would be the first NFL game ever played in France. Demonstrators are demanding education reform, police have used tear gas and stun grenades, and more than 5,000 people have been detained. The Saints are the designated home team.
