All right, let's go to some notable sort of lineup changes.
big one in St. Louis, who are, as I think, Jason, you mentioned it earlier, getting very hot.
Dylan Holloway, Snuggerud, and Thomas are pretty solid line right now.
They've been-- So they've been-- I, I think J- Jim Montgomery's been, been juggling lines all season just to see what works.
but this line in particular, has really stood out, and they've stood out for the past, I'd say two weeks or so.
I think considering that the Blues spread their ice time around quite a bit, or have been, I'm surprised this line doesn't get more minutes, but they have been impressive as a, as a line overall.
I wrote about them when I did the f- my forwards target today, and I referred to, and I referred to Snuggerud and Holloway as the St. Louis dynamic duo.
Yeah.
Which they've, they've kind of been.
We know how good, we know how good Thomas is, right?
Holloway took that major step forward last year after ironically being freed from Edmonton, for lack of a better term.
And Snuggerud this year as a rookie, while he's had some up and downs earlier in the season, now that he's on that top line, right, is been just-- that, that trio's been one of the best trios in the league, as Jason said- Yeah for about the last two weeks.
I had, I think I had picked Snuggerud as my breakout player for the Blues, so I'm glad that it's come true with 20 games to go.
I just also wanna point out Dalibor Dvorak, a interesting player going into next season.
St. Louis will be a very interesting team going into next season, because they've sold off a good chunk of their vets already.
I could see them selling off even more in the off-season.
and they have some good prospects in Snuggerud.
Oh, are we- Go ahead, sorry.
Are we starting the Bin- are we starting the Binnington to Edmonton rumor now?
I was just gonna ask, Connor, do you think- Binnington would be an upgrade?
We, we talked about that a lot earlier in the season- Mm-hmm where we said we thought it could happen, right?
And Joel Hofer has kind of some- taken over as the number one there.
Yeah.
And clearly if he's gonna be the one, St. Louis could most certainly look to move on from Binnington.
Mm-hmm.
I would be very scared of what that acquisition cost would look like, if I were St. Louis.
You th- you think Binnington would cost a lot?
I think as part of that trade, well, yes, first of all, I do.
team Canada- He'd cost a lot less than Walstad.
Well, yes, obviously.
but Team Canada goalie, I think there's a lot of value there, even if there is j- even, even if there shouldn't be, I think there's a lot of perceived value there.
and I have to assume they're offloading Jarry as part of that trade, because I don't know how else you make the money or the goalies work.
and- And that's when, that's when the St. Louis GM goes, "I'm sorry, bad connection.
Can't hear you."
'Cause he will want no part of this Jarry's contract coming back.
that's when St. Louis' GM, probably Doug Armstrong, maybe not, says, "Isaac Howard, Matthew Zavala, and Boakye, please."
and Stan Bowman probably just says yes.
No, Stan Bowman's more like, "Do you want me to throw, throw a pick in there?"
"It doesn't seem like you're getting enough."
Exactly.
la- last point on the Blues, coming over- Well, I mean, St. Louis needs- I was just gonna say Broberg's been playing really well all season.
Good, you're sorry.
And I think next year, if you're looking for, like, a sneaky power play quarterback, he might be that guy.
Another ex-Edmonton player who got out of Edmonton 'cause of poor contract management.
Yeah.
But thank, thank the lucky stars.
St. Louis, St. Louis, St. Louis needs defensive help, though.
I mean, to me, they have forwards that are talented offensively, right?
We don't know what's gonna happen with Jordan Kyrou, right?
His name was prominently mentioned.
Jason already talked about Dvorak being there, right?
Jake Neighbours has been up and down.
Pavel Buchnevich has been up and down.
But there is talent offensively there.
What they do or going to need is defensive help, right?
The Colton Parayko, who knows what's gonna happen there, right?
He's obviously doesn't wanna waive.
There's no trade.
But the back part of their blue line needs some assistance, and that doesn't seem to be a place where Edmonton has a host of talent they can afford to deal in a trade right now, given the needs that they have there as well.
Yes.
And that Parayko thing is something that will have to be addressed, in addition to Robert Thomas, and if that actually happens.
because that's a big, big move, potentially.
