As always, I'm Lucas Stackpole, and joined as usual by Peter Pappalardo and Bob Houck.

And fellas, today we have an interesting discussion.

The team under the microscope today for today's episode is the New York Mets, and, you know, Lor- Lord knows, a lot has happened in, in Queens.

There, there's a lot going on over there.

A lot bad going on.

As there usually is.

I mean, the Mets just can't catch a break.

It's crazy.

It's been rough for Mets lately, for sure.

Yeah.

Bad things are happening in the borough.

Yeah, and I mean, the old adage, Mets gonna Met, and it's just- as true as it-- it's, it's as true as it's ever been right now.

I mean, last year, the fl- last full season, 2025, I mean, 83 and 79, they missed the playoffs.

But I think you can categorize it, at least by Mets standards and all that expectations, last season was a total failure.

Yeah.

For sure.

I mean, the Mets, you spend all that money, Juan Soto, 15 years, 765 million.

You're more than 20 games over 500 in June, and then it hits the fan, the Phillies run away with the division, the pitching collapses, almost everything collapses, and you lose out on the playoffs on the final day of the season.

And I mean, it's, again, it's the stereotypical Mets ending, but you know, every year you think it's gonna be different, and it never is.

You know, yeah, every single year it's just a, like a fall off, like second half fall off every single time for the Mets, and I really can't figure out why it happens.

they're just cur It's one of those curses I feel like with the Mets.

They have a, they have a talented roster, for sure.

They have the guys for it, for sure.

But yeah, I'm not sure.

A lot, a lot's been going on that's, not looking too good for the Mets either, in this off season so far.
