For over a decade, the middle of the New York Giants' defense has been an absolute puzzle.
Bad fits, injuries, missed draft picks, it felt cursed.
But in 2026, the tide is finally turning.
Even though team captain Bobby O'Karake is gone, look at what John Harbaugh just built.
First, They went out and signed athletic powerhouse Tremaine Edmunds in free agency to anchor the medal.
Then they went to the draft and grabbed Ohio State Freak of Nature Arvell Reese at number 5 overall.
He runs a blistering 4.4640 at 240 pounds, and he can rush the edge or drop inside.
Throw in BYU rookie Jack Kelly, who is essentially a sixth-round clone of Reese, plus a healthy Micah McFadden returnee, and this is suddenly the fastest, most explosive linebacking corps in the division.
The only real question though, left for training camp is how will defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson deploy all these weapons.
He has options and how that all plays out this summer will tell us a lot about some of the finer details of this defense ahead of the 2026 season.
