The New York Giants have probably not been in this great a shape on this offensive line in quite some time.
There is a legitimate too deep that you should be excited about if you're a New York Giants fan.
But the first thing you should be excited about is the fact that your left tackle, Andrew Thomas, is not coming off injury.
He's gonna be able to go through training camp and Go through everything in the offseason as if he's just a healthy, happy left tackle like he should be.
On the right side, you've got a healthy, happy right tackle because Greg Illumino just signed an extension to be the right tackle for the foreseeable future.
On the interior, yes, you have John Runyon Jr. but you also have Francis Mainoa, the rookie on the right side, 6'5, 330.
He's a body mover more than Greg Van Roten was.
You also have behind those two guys, two backups in Daniel Felele and Evan Neal, who are an average, an average of 6, 7.5, 350+ pounds.
That's a lot of beef.
They might not be perfect on the interior, but you know what they can do?
They can move bodies, especially Evan Neal.
On the outside, you have legitimate backups because rookie JC Davis is a guy who has been a constant starter at left tackle everywhere he's gone in college, and he spent the last couple of seasons at left tackle in the Big 10 against elite-level competition that all went to the NFL.
On the right side, You got Marcus Bowe, another guy who has, who's been an elite offensive lineman at the, at the college level and came in and proved that he could not only play on the right side, but on the left side as well.
When was the last time that the Giants had a legitimate two-deep, one that you would feel confident with going into the game at every single position?
I can't remember it.
There's a battle on the inside with the centers that probably go 3 deep, but start with John Michael Smiths.
These are happy times if you're somebody who's watched as they've lined up with a bunch of guys from off the street on the offensive line, you should feel, feel good about not only the health of this offensive line, but the direction that it's taking into the future.
