Ohio State HC Jake Diebler Makes Catastrophic Blunder in Buckeyes Loss to TCU
The time was running out in Ohio State's season, and their head coach didn't know how many timeouts they had left.

Did Jake Diebler know how many timeouts were left at the end of Ohio State versus TCU?
I don't know.
I'm not really sure.
Anthony Maglan here with the Buckeyes Roundtable reacting to a really tough loss, for the Ohio State Buckeyes against the number nine TCU Horned Frogs in the first round, the first game of the NCAA tournament.
And it kinda went as bad as it possibly could for Buckeyes fans.
Ohio State gets down early, comes out of the gates horribly like they didn't know that it was a tournament game and they didn't know that, like, their season was on the line and they played lifeless.
And then they fought all the way back.
They came out of the second half, like, with their hair on fire, fought all the way back, took a lead.
The last seven minutes of the game were awesome.
Back and forth basketball, really good basketball.
The last minute of the game was electric.
two really impressive three-pointers, one by TCU, one by Bruce Thornton, with a hand, with a hand in his face, a body in his face to tie the thing up.
And then TCU runs a, a textbook set, that wastes 30 seconds.
They get a nice layup at the bucket, and now Ohio State with four seconds remaining has a chance to go and, and make one of those heroic plays, and what do they do?
I mean, this is like the worst setup of all time.
Bruce Thornton's taking the ball.
We need to get the ball in Bruce Thornton's hands.
He inbounds the ball to Christopher Till- or Christph Tilley, and Tilley hands it then back to, to, to Bruce Thornton who's streaking up the, streaking up the, the, the court.
And the, the, the thought is okay, get him with a head of steam and, and get the ball back to him with ease.
Sure.
There's four seconds left.
You wasted an entire second just inbounding the ball and passing it back to the baseline.
And now he's gotta go 94 total feet to tie this thing up.
All Thornton can do is, is get a half-hearted, or a haphazard, a half quarter up that's not even close.
And then the worst part was not even that.
The worst part was after the game, Diebler said that, Thor- Thornton had the opportunity or the ability to either get a shot up, make a pass, or call a timeout.
Hey dude, we didn't have any timeouts.
Number three didn't exist.
And, and it's just a, it is a very unfortunate way for this whole thing to end after such a fun last month o- of Ohio State basketball.
This is gonna leave a bad taste in a lot of folks' mouths heading into the off-season.
