Should The Oilers Have Acquired Binnington Instead Of Jarry?
The Edmonton Oilers' goaltending woes continue to persist. Did they miss a better option than Tristan Jarry by not trading for Stanley Cup-winning goalie Jordan Binnington?

I mean, how concerning is this for the Oilers at this point in the season, or do you think maybe arguably they were already too far gone past this point?

well, I mean, Jari, if memory serves, a couple weeks into his tenure with Edmonton, called out some of his teammates.
not, you know, not like to the point of Anthony Stolarz in Toronto, where I think he alienated some people with him calling, calling out his teammates.
But, in this instance, it really, you know, you just have to sort of put your money where your mouth is.
And, you know, he had a 2.66 goals against and a 909 save percentage with Pittsburgh, and his stats have fallen off the planet.
And conversely, Skinner's stats have been better with the, with the, the Penguins and worse with the Oilers.
That tell, that tells me it may be something more than the goaltending.
I'm not to say, not to say that Jari is not partially responsible, but the Edmonton Oilers simply cannot play defense.
They never have been able to, and they still can't.
They rely on McDavid and Draisaitl to bail them out, and they'll continue to do that.
That might carry them into a Stanley Cup, but it's not effective.
And I think right now the frustration level has just r- been, is rising in Edmonton because Jari is just not playing that well, and their defense is not playing that well either.
