Oklahoma Just Lost to Texas Off the Field
The Oklahoma Sooners' biggest rival, the Texas Longhorns, just landed an elite recruit that Brent Venables and his staff were aggressively pursuing. Ismael Camara is an IOL who will add to the Sooners' biggest rivals elite recruiting class. Is this a minor setback for the Sooners' recruiting hopes or could it signal a bigger problem?

The Oklahoma Sooners are about to have to play a dog, and he just so happens to be committed to the Texas Longhorns.
I'm Justin Church of AZ Sports Oklahoma, and recently Texas landed five-star interior offensive lineman, Ismael Kamara.
He's six-six, three hundred and forty-five, and he chose the Longhorns over Oregon, SMU, and L- and LSU, and he, you know, he's from Texas.
He's moved over from France, not too long ago.
So he's kind of raw still, but he's a dog.
And as much as it's gonna pain OU, OU fans to say this, he's a guy who could play really early in his career that OU fans are probably gonna see very often.
he's a Like we said, he's a five-star.
He is one of the highest ranked players in the entire country and, a lot of scouts are comparing him to Kayden Proctor, you know, the former Alabama offensive tackle who, just got drafted in the first round.
And that's quite the comparison, especially as a guy who is, not, not even played a collegiate snap yet.
And so the Texas Longhorns are quietly, quietly putting together a very elite recruiting class and, of course, OU's class is amazing as well.
It's dropped down a little bit because of, these r- recruiting sites, dropping players' rankings down.
But all in all, OU has a really, really good class.
Texas class is very good, too.
And, and I, I'm going to admit, I was hating on Texas not too long ago, because they just don't recruit in state as well as they probably should, and this is an in-state recruit.
but their recruiting class as a whole is coming together very nicely.
They've got probably one of the best defensive lines in the recruiting class, and now they have the best maybe interior offensive lineman in the recruiting class.
So as much as it's gonna pain OU fans to see and to hear, Texas is recruiting very well and Ismael Kamara, he's gonna be a dog
