The one Chicago Bears UDFA that you need to know before training camp!

Kole Noble breaks down why Chicago Bears' UDFA Jayden Loving is a name to know before training camp begins

Video Transcript

I'm Cole Noble, A to Z Sports Chicago, and I think if there's one player not getting enough attention on this roster going into training camp next week, it has to be Bears UDFA Jayden Loving.

The former defensive tackle out of Wake Forest is a highly athletic player, and the Bears paid high dollar to bring him in after the twenty twenty-six NFL Draft, two hundred and forty-five thousand dollars in total guarantees, which is a lot of money to give to an undrafted free agent.

And that's after the Bears already drafted Jordan Vandenberg and traded up to get him in the sixth round of the draft.

So I don't think these two are competing against each other by any means.

I just think that these two actually could push some of the veterans off the roster that the Bears brought in in free agency.

You talk about guys like Neville Gallimore, Kentavius Street, James Lynch.

Going into training camp, the veterans will have the leg up just based on their veteran experience, playing behind Gervon Dexter and Grady Jarrett as the two returning starters on the interior.

But I think Jayden Loving and Jordan Vandenberg, as training camp progresses starting next week, can really start to make a name for themselves and push maybe some of these veteran guys off the roster when we're talking about the fifty-three-man roster, who's gonna make the cut, who's not, and who is gonna actually, you know, earn playing time in the twenty twenty-six season.

Jayden Loving's not getting enough attention.

I mean, look at these stats this guy put up at the Wake Forest Pro Day and where they would have ranked had he had gone to the NFL Combine.

An overlooked player throughout the draft process who is a highly athletic freak.

And I think once the pads come on and we see him on the field for the Bears in training camp, he will start pushing some of these veterans alongside Jordan Vandenberg for roster spots.

And even if he doesn't make the initial cut, I think the Bears should try to find a way to bring him back on the practice squad.

But, I mean, preseason, training camp, when we see him on the field, we're gonna see the monster the Bears got and, you know, the player the rest of the NFL forgot the draft because Jayden Loving, I think he has it.

I think he's got the tools to really make a name for himself, and I'm excited to see him come training camp starting next week.

So what do you think?

Jayden Loving, is he gonna be a player to watch out for?

Which other, you know, UDFAs, sleepers are you watching at training camp next week?
