Padres' Ethan Salas, 20, Becomes Youngest Catcher in MLB History With Multi-Homer Game

Ethan Salas made history Wednesday night, becoming the youngest catcher in MLB history to hit multiple home runs in a game as the San Diego Padres beat the Colorado Rockies 9-3. The 20-year-old (20 years, 107 days) launched a solo shot off Mason Adams in the second inning and added a two-run drive off Nick Frasso in the fifth. Salas entered the week still looking for his first career hit and is now the youngest catcher to homer in the majors since Ivan Rodriguez in 1991.
