Pair of Pro Bowlers Agree on Chicago Bears TE Colston Loveland
After a dominant rookie season, Chicago's breakout star has earned "Third and Colston" status. Now, NFL elites are forecasting a massive 2026 encore.

It's rare that two players in the NFL agree on one thing, but that was the case for a pair of pro bowlers in Brock Purdy and Brock Bowers at the TEU event recently this offseason.
They were interviewed by Super Bowl reporter Caden Kluber, and they both agreed on one thing, that Colson Loveland is going to be even better for the Bears in 2026.
Loveland was the 10th overall pick out of Michigan, and while the pick was scrutinized at first, it ended up being the right one as the Bears went with the best player available at the time.
And it's definitely, there's definitely a case that can be made for Loveland to be that player at the position that he was in in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Loveland ended up leading the Bears in receiving yards as a rookie and went on to become a safety valve for quarterback Caleb Williams throughout the 2025 season.
He had breakout performances in games against the Cincinnati Bengals and even against the San Francisco 49ers before leading the Bears in receiving yards during the fourth quarter comeback win in the playoffs against the Green Bay Packers.
Now people think that he could break out even more.
For Bowers and Purdy, they both agreed that Loveland definitely had a breakout season last year, but they think he could do even better things in with the Bears in 2026.
The sky is definitely the limit for Loveland, especially as he prepares for another year in this Ben Johnson offense.
He may even have his number called even more since the Bears shedded one of their veteran receivers in DJ Moore, who they decided to trade to the Buffalo Bills to free up some cap space for free agency.
Loveland will definitely be, will still be utilized a lot in this Ben Johnson offense like he was last year.
And we'll have to wait and see if he can truly elevate his game to another level after what was an impressive breakout campaign from his rookie season.
Maybe there's a Pro Bowl or two in his future if he keeps this kind of play up.
