When there's gonna be some good talent n- in the defensive side of the ball that we really do need, especially with all of the secondary that we traded away and lost.
You know, Brian Cook going to Cincinnati, McDuffie going to the Rams, Watson going to the Rams.
I mean, and, Leo Chanel leaving too.
Those are all big, heavy hits for us in the defensive side of it.
And Leo Chanel especially, man, he was a brute, a monster, and I wish him best of luck.
We are definitely gonna miss him, but w- and J- Gillette may be the answer to that.
I mean, he didn't play a ton of snaps last year, but he definitely got a year under his belt.
He may be able to come in and, and really take over that spot.
And don't forget, Drew Tranquill did come back.
He came on a, he came back on a team-friendly deal.
He didn't come back and ask for big money.
He come back and wanted to play for the Chiefs.
And I think that speaks volumes for that organization.
But Tranquill is a leader on the defensive side of the field, along with, oh yeah, Nick Bolton.
That's the one name I was looking for.
I mean, those guys are leaders on that, so it'll be interesting.
I think that we need an edge rusher and I think we need some secondary guys.
You know, some corners, some safeties.
And there is definitely some, some talent in this draft in, in that area.
Mm-hmm.
So if we were to take an OT, I don't know, man.
It just doesn't seem, doesn't seem, doesn't seem right.
But at the same time, I know what they're thinking, and they're thinking that they wanna protect Mahomes more.
Yeah.
I don't know what to tell you guys.
I mean, these analyst guys are like, "Oh, you're gonna have to protect Patrick because he's not gonna be able to do as much and he's not..." No.
Patrick Mahomes is going to be Patrick Mahomes when he comes back.
He is not sh- he is not, training and doing his therapy and doing all that stuff, as hard as he is, to not come back as he was before.
He's n- this is not a player that is like, "Oh, well, he tore his ACL and he was never any, he was just never good anymore."
No, he's gonna come back bigger and better and stronger.
