Pete Crow-Armstrong Leads Nl MVP Odds Over Shohei Otani
For the first time this season, Pete Crow-Armstrong has eclipsed Shohei Ohtani as the leading National League MVP candidate after a stellar two-homer game.

I, I think at least the biggest story from the day today has to be the shift.
Because for the first time- in the MVP odds in years, Shohei Ohtani, as of right now, as it stands on FanDuel, DraftKings, and everywhere else, is no longer the favorite to win the National League MVP.
It is Pete Crow-Armstrong, who hit two home runs today.
As you can see right there, those odds You can show that again, Chris.
It's okay.
Those odds were before- the game today, but currently, they've moved.
And now Pete Crow-Armstrong, for the first time, there is someone else, Joe, outside of Shohei Ohtani that is the favorite to win the MVP.
I disagree with it.
I don't think it's correct.
I know that PCA is having a great year, and he may go on very well to win the MVP.
It's very, it's very possible.
He's having a career season, one of the best seasons in the history of the Cubs, Joe.
And I acknowledge that and I think it's great.
But at the same time, I think that, we're, we're headed toward a little voter fatigue, I think, with Ohtani a little bit.
And I think that's the reason why he's not gonna win the MVP.
To me, when you have a guy like Ohtani that pitched And, and again, he may not pitch anymore, but he pitched half the season.
You know, Pete Crow-Armstrong, great player, but Ohtani, in, in pitching and hitting, I've said this once and I'll say it a million times, years ago, Joe, if I told you there was gonna be a pitcher and a hitter in Major League Baseball and he was gonna be very good at both, you would say, "Sign me up for that guy.
It's winning the MVP every year until he retires."
And I'm still- Yeah in that boat, Joe.
It's not like Ohtani only, pitched in five games this year, you know, or six.
Like, that's not the case.
Yeah.
I mean, he pitched a half a season.
So we PCA, I mean, ho- honestly, Joe, if PCA is the favorite now and Ohtani doesn't pitch, PCA's probably- Yeah gonna win the MVP this year, right?
I mean, that's- Yep that's where we're headed.
I do- I don't agree with it, but that's where we're at.
Yeah, three for five with two home runs today probably, helps the odds, a little bit, is people, running and, and looking to back Pete Crow-Armstrong.
He is a big reason they're up seven to four here in the top of the, of the eighth inning.
