Now, I'm not sure if Maffa is not obvious, but I think he is, specifically because the conversation has centered around Jayden Blue when it comes to who will back up Javonte Williams.
Now, Schottenheimer recently had very promising words about Jayden Blue.
It looks like they're not worried about his consistency anymore.
It looks like those trust issues that ESPN's Todd Archer reported on are gone, or at least it looks like it.
But we kind of have forgotten about Phil Maffa.
Remember, Maffa was a little bit banged up from his shoulder coming out of Clemson, and that's part of the reason why he was on IR most of the year.
Maybe the Cowboys also took advantage of the situation.
Maybe they did a little bit of a IR stash there.
But regardless, when healthy, Phil Maffa could be a surprise.
I think he has-- He had a strong training camp.
He had a strong preseason.
He showed some things.
He can be a breakout candidate for the Cowboys at running back in a rotational posit- i-i-in a rotational role,
