Phillies' Kyle Schwarber Still Isn't There Yet, and That's a Problem
Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber is still struggling.

So every time it looks like Kyle Schwarber's about to break out of it, he goes right back into his funk.
And you look since late June when, you know, he had that back issue, he has not been the same hitter.
And now you look, he has just one home run in the last nine games.
His average is dipped to two forty, his OPS to eight seventy-two, which those are still solid numbers, but they're his lowest marks in quite some time.
In fact, his OPS is his lowest mark since April 28th.
So little by little, he's sliding.
And, you know, the Phillies are fifteen and three, lost eighteen games heading into this critical series against the Braves, which is fantastic, and they're getting contributions from Bryce Harper.
You know, Luis Arraez has changed the entire lineup.
Guys like, you know, Bryson Stott, Alec Bohm, even Edmundo Sosa are, are contributing.
And, you know, Harper has had contributions.
He's, he's kind of a sleeper MVP candidate right now.
But make no mistake, the Phillies will need Schwarber to be Schwarber if they want to go deep into the playoffs.
I don't think they can actually win, you know, maybe even not a single series in the postseason with Kyle Schwarber hitting this way.
They need him to be hitting dingers.
They need him to be the threat that we're used to seeing Kyle Schwarber being.
And he's still dangerous without question.
You know, he's definitely still dangerous, but he's certainly compromised right now, and I'm not sure there's a solution for him between now and the end of the year 'cause it's, it's clear that he's not one hundred percent and, you know, he didn't go on the IL at all, which was probably a mistake.
The Phillies sh-- probably should have sent him on the IL, you know, back when this first happened in late June just to get him some rest.
But, you know, if, if he can't rediscover his consistent stroke between now and the postseason, it's gonna be very problematic for Philadelphia
