Pittsburgh Steelers Could Still Trade Mason Rudolph
Rob Gregson explains why the Steelers may not be done moving Mason Rudolph.

Adam Schefter just dropped some really interesting news about Mason Rudolph.
I'm Rob Griggs of ABC Sports Pittsburgh.

Because just yesterday, on the Pat McAfee Show, Adam Schefter was asked, "Why are so many teams carrying four quarterbacks?"
He went team by team, looking at all the different scenarios.
Of course, the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of those teams.
He explained, "Hey, look, they're never gonna cut the young guys.
They like Will Howard, they like Drew Aller.
We know that Aaron Rodgers is their starter."
The questions were around Mason Rudolph, which I found interesting.
What I found even more interesting was that Adam Schefter said they didn't find an offer that they felt was good enough to move Mason Rudolph, which means that the Pittsburgh Steelers, at the very least, were listening to trade offers for Mason Rudolph.
So, my question for you guys, what I really wonder is, what were those offers?
Why didn't the Pittsburgh Steelers trade Mason Rudolph and keep three quarterbacks instead of keeping four quarterbacks?
Because look, at the end of the day, barring something catastrophic having- happening in that room, you're never going to play four quarterbacks.
You just gave up a roster spot to somebody like, I don't know, a Landon Roberts or a Travis Homer, or some more depth along the offensive and defensive line.
None of that exists because you have four quarterbacks, and you could have traded one of those guys, albeit Mason Rudolph, and received some draft capital.
Now, Schefter would go on to say how much they like Mason Rudolph, and they view him as a stable backup, and they know what they have with him and we know all of that.
But let's be real here.
Mason Rudolph is Mason Rudolph.
He's been in the league nearly a decade at this point.
We've seen him start for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
We know what he is.
If Aaron Rodgers goes down, it's not like the Steelers have any chance of winning anything of true significance, whether that's with Mason Rudolph, Drew Aller, or Will Howard.
So, in my opinion, I don't really get it, especially given this news that they could've traded Mason Rudolph.
I'm not exactly sure why in the world they kept all four quarterbacks but we will see how things pan out.
Of course, just because they kept four doesn't mean that they are going to stick with four.
If a better trade offer comes in, God forbid, another quarterback gets injured, the trade deadline, we could very easily see Mason Rudolph moved.
