This next guy, Jay, I think is one we, we would both have on the list and probably one that everyone would have on their list, and that's another wide receiver on this team.
That, that's Ricky Pearsall, right?
and kind of for the same reason, like injuries, right, have plagued him, so far in his short career.
But I think this year is especially pivotal for him because this off-season it really just felt like the 49ers are like, "Okay, we, we can't put all our eggs in the Ricky Pearsall basket.
We have to have other options."
And not even just secondary options.
They got Mike Evans.
He's, he's the tier one, okay, i- in this wide receiver room now.
So that puts Ricky Pearsall, I don't wanna say at risk, but like they, they got another wide receiver in the first round in Stribling, right?
So, you know, if you can't stay healthy, it, it I think it's gonna be hard for the 49ers to justify keeping him around beyond the season.
Like, I don't know, or, or obviously, beyond his rookie, contract.
So we need to see contributions.
He's a super talented player.
Like, we know that.
He can get He could get open.
I think he fits this offense really well.
He fits well with, Brock Purdy as well.
but if you can't get on the field, there, there's no reason that this team is just gonna keep waiting for you to come around, waiting for you to get healthy, and, and hoping that it works.
They're gonna move on, right?
So the 49ers have already start I don't wanna say they've started to move on, but they've started to protect themselves in case, Ricky Pearsall doesn't stay healthy this season.
