Post-Combine Buzz Helps Clarify Chiefs Offseason Plans
The NFL combine generates a lot of noise, and most of it is just that . For the Kansas City Chiefs, however, the post-combine buzz is providing some information that could go a long way toward clarifying the Chiefs' priorities and plans, according to Jesse Newell of The Athletic.

So I, you know, McDuffie's gonna stay, which means Jalen Watson's probably gone.
which I, I mean, it, it sucks, but I mean, McDuffie's been elite.
I don't know that this last season was great.
Not the last two seasons maybe.
Yeah.
I don't know.
The, the season, not, the season prior wasn't too bad.
This, this, the 2025 season with McDuffie wasn't that wonderful.
Right.
he seemed to be getting burnt a lot, and I think he was battling some injuries and some, and some issues.
But you know, he did go out in the season and, hopefully got all that fixed and get him back in there and, and, get him back to, to 100%, especially since they got a chance to rest a little bit more.
He had a few- Yeah more weeks off or whatever, but- See McDuffie with a couple picks this year.
A couple.
Oh, yeah.
Not just one.
A couple.
Yeah.
Well, he's only got one in his career, doesn't he?
He's only one or two, yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, he's just, he, he's, he's like fly paper.
He just sticks on his receivers really, really well.
Yeah.
But the, like I said, the 20, 2025 season, I watched him get burned several times.
you know, but it happens.
You know, you're not gonna have anything And everybody's not gonna be perfect 100% of the time.
Yeah.
And then you got, then you got Noah Williams in there, which I feel pretty, pretty good about that.
but then, you know, a couple of the other guys are just not quite as productive, and hopefully they can pick up something in this draft that, gonna fill that, that void a little bit more.
So the secondary is always the biggest concern that I have.
Especially now that football is more of a passing sport.
Right.
And teams are throwing the ball.
That's what they do.
You want big yards, you gotta throw the ball.
