New Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection Process Overhaul
Pro Football Hall of Fame alters its selection method, cutting voters from 50 to 25 and removing the senior category following Bill Belichick's recent snub.

Also, we're gonna take a look at something here.
And I wanna read this and I wanna make sure that we get this exactly correct here before we get into previewing the AFC South.
Pro Football Hall of Fame selection has been overhauled.
This process has now officially been overhauled.
Now it's not out officially yet when it comes to who and who don't have votes any longer, but the selection committee reduced from 50 to 25 members plus three non-voting participants.
It eliminates the senior category for players retired at least 25 years.
It's writing between three to seven candidates each year from a 15 person pool: 13 players, one coach and one contributor.
One person who isn't on the committee will present all candidates to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
So what does this mean?
So say you have a voter who has his vote and he's based in Chicago, and there's a player that he wants to promote to make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
And you have players in say Philadelphia like Elaine Johnson or Jason Kelsey.
Why would that voter in Chicago go outta his way to promote somebody that he doesn't cover?
Every single team back in the day was represented by one hall of fame voter.
So you had somebody in the conversation each and every single year that made it so that "Hey, I understand that you want to put Torry Holt, the Ram great, into the Pro Football Hall of Fame."
But then you had another voter in Indianapolis saying, "Wait a second.
Reggie Wayne is a better player."
You don't have that dialogue in that meeting any longer.
You're going to have select members...And they've cut it down basically to 28 with the three that are gonna be representing on who goes into the Hall of Fame.
Now this is all based on what happened last year when Kraft and Belichick were not first ballot Hall of Famers.
I don't know if that makes that process any better in any way, if that's gonna help get people into the pro football Hall of Fame.
To me it looks like you absolutely made it harder and more regionalized.
Guys who had those votes in that city now, are they really gonna go out of their way to vote for somebody in New York or Boston or in Los Angeles?
It's gonna be very interesting to see over the next couple weeks to see how this thing plays out with the pro football Hall of Fame
