How's fall camp been so far?
It's been good, man.
It's been hot, but just working through it, you know.
At this point in fall camp, just, uh , how ready are y'all for the season to start?
I feel like we're ready, man.
We prepared all year for this moment, you know what I'm saying?
So I feel like we're ready.
Who in the secondary has been the biggest surprise to you so far?
Uh, I feel like it's no surprise, you know, when you sign these papers to come to Bama, you know what I'm saying, it's really what you expect, you know, we always have guys, you know what I'm saying, the secondary who can play, so it's really no surprise that these guys can play.
Red yesterday coach, uh, complimented, uh, Drake Kirkpatrick yesterday.
What have you seen out of him?
Uh, man, Dre just a pure playmaker, man.
You know, everyone on the field, you know, he flies around, you know what I'm saying.
The guy, he just, you know, he's a fast physical player, loves to go hit, you know what I'm saying, play anywhere in the secondary.
So yeah, do you feel like this is the most experienced secondary that you've played with, and how can you use that to y'all's advantage?
Uh, for sure, I feel like this probably been the tightest group since I've been here, you know what I'm saying.
And we can use that to advantage because like, you know what I'm saying, the chemistry that we have in the back end, you know, we could use each other we know what we've been playing for playing with each other for um like really 3 years, so like we know each other's strengths and weaknesses.
So you know what I'm saying, just chipping away on the, uh, stric, uh, weight weaknesses and just, you know, building off of it each other with each other.
What's been the message of coaches about East Carolina so far?
Uh, we really haven't got into East Carolina yet, you know what I'm saying?
We're really gonna start that next week, but you know what I'm saying.
Yeah yeah we really haven't really got it to him yet.
Just a quick one off the topic a little bit.
There was a study that came out this week, uh, about CTE, uh, and, and brain injuries in general that 1 in 4 players that died in the last 10 years, I think, had it.
Is that, is that stuff that ever entered your mind about the dangers of football?
Hey, like I said, man, I signed these papers to come play, so you know what I'm saying, I'll do whatever, you know, for this team.
So really, I, I don't really think about that.
