The Red Sox were a team that a couple months ago when we played a game called Bad, Real Bad, or It's Over, you said it is over for the Boston Red Sox.

They're making moves at the trade deadline like they don't think it is over, and they're in the mix.

Of course, that 15-game winning streak.

You know, what do you make?

That was one of the most surprising, maybe the most surprising move of the deadline, Adley Rutschman going from the Orioles to Boston.

Yeah, I mean, it, it's just, you know, good for the Red Sox to be able to make that move, right?

Like, everybody made so much when they fired Alex Cora, and, you know, they got off to a bad start.

You know, even on the podcast, you know, you heard me say it was over for 'em.

But, you know, with the way they've been pitching, you know, they got Sonny Gray.

I think Garrett Cochet's coming off the IL here soon.

And they have the, they have the arms, and the, the offense have been, been stepping up.

You know, Rafael De Sil- Silvas, he's been great.

You know, the guys have been hitting.

So, you know, we'll have to wait and see how this thing shakes out in, as far as wa- as far as wild card, but I thought it was a great move them being able to make that, that, that trade and get Adley Rutschman.

Yeah, I, and I think this is, you know, obviously Craig Breslow under some heat for how the season started and how it's gone so far, the moves he's made, but they could've made the case that, you know, this just wasn't their year, and you don't really wanna trade the farm for, for, you know, a, a wild card spot.

But Adley Rutschman's a guy that can help them again next year.

I know, I know it pains you as, as a Yankee, but do you give the Red Sox credit here for kinda going all in on this season, trying to see what they can get this year, and then maybe beefing up their team for next year as well?

Yeah, absolutely.

I mean, you have to give them a lot of credit the way they've turned this thing around.

And, you never know when you get in with the wild card, right?

Like, if you get in, you know, wild card spot and you get hot in October, you know, you can make a run all the way to the World Series.

So, yeah, I mean, just grabbing one of those wild card spots would be huge.

And like I said, have to see how this shakes out, but I mean, that's a huge trade, a huge deal for them to be able to get Adley Rutschman, not only for this year, but for the future going forward
