Reining World Champion Tucker Allen Out for Remainder of 2026 Season After Knee Injury
The defending PRCA steer wrestling world champion suffered multiple ligament injuries at the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo and will undergo surgery in two weeks.

The 2025 PRCA World Champion Steer Wrestler, Tucker Allen, will not get a chance to defend his title in 2026.
I'm Madison Richmond with Rodeo Roundtable, and today Allen announced that he injured his knee while in Spanish Fork at the Fiesta Days Rodeo, and this will require surgery.
Dr. Tandy Freeman with Justin Sportsmedicine is going to perform the surgery, and he is expected to be back and ready to go for the 2027 season.
Tucker was sitting in the top 30 in the world this year, hadn't quite had the year he was hoping for after his first Gold Buckle.
However, he still did have plenty of time to catch up if he wouldn't have gotten injured.
However, for longevity purposes and just the demand of the sport with as good of guys that he's competing against, it's smart to get it fixed now and get it healed up so that he can be strong again in 2027.
Tucker had a great year last year, and he came into the NFR maybe as an underdog, or at least not one of the guys that they saw coming.
He's one of the smallest guys in the pack too, and he didn't even come from a rodeo background.
He's a California kid who rode motocross, and then one day he got dared to jump a steer, and then pretty soon he's a world champion.
And that's just the kind of grit and determination that Allen has, and that is what will get him back in the arena very soon.
He's hoping to be back for the winter rodeos at the beginning of the year and get another year going strong to try and get his second Gold Buckle.
We'll be praying for healing for Tucker as he goes into surgery and starts the recovery process, and he's also planning a wedding.
So there's still plenty going on for Tucker Allen.
