right.

So they signed Mason Marchment, forward, for five times 7 million, and in addition to bringing on Mason Marchment, they have now signed Jacob Trouba to a four-year contract worth 8.25 million.

And Ryan, for a team like the Sharks who are just on the outside of making the playoffs this year, what do you think Trouba and Marchment are gonna do for their playoff chances heading into next season?

Well, they both bring size and experience, and those are two things that I think will be, very good for the Sharks.

Obviously, their, their best players are their young players right now and, you know, you need to have that supporting cast behind Macklin Celebrini because he did so much, you know, as a sophomore.

I think he was 50 points clear of Will Smith, their next highest scorer.

obviously Trouba's not gonna be contributing a ton of, points, but he'll give them some.

Marchment, has a chance to be a very good top six winger for them and, and like I said, he's a pretty big dude himself.

I, I like these moves.

I know, you know, some people are kinda down on Jacob Trouba in terms of his- defensive prowess, but he is very physical.

He played nearly 23 minutes a night for Anaheim last year, and the Ducks, as we know, not only were they a playoff team, but they won a round as well.

So, you know, this is a guy that, that knows how to get it done.

The Sharks, they still need to do some work on their blue line, especially if Mario Ferraro does not return.

you know, he's a pending UFA him- well, he's a UFA himself at this point.

and I, I just think it's worth it, right?

You know, the Sharks have the cap space.

They can make these moves right now for these veterans because it does feel like, you know, their time is coming as soon as this upcoming season to be a playoff team.

Yeah, and Sharks have already traded William Eklund to the Ottawa Senators.

That happened last week.

So theoretically, I guess Mason Marchment replaces that offense.

I imagine, though, they are looking for some big time contributions from some of the younger players, whether it's Michael Mesa, Will Smith, or some others.

So stay tuned.

Be November.

It looks yeah, it looks like the battle in the Pacific is gonna be heated up for next season.
