Matthew and Brady Tkachuk are reuniting on the Florida Panthers in a blockbuster trade heading into NHL draft week.

Mike, I, I think we kinda know the answer here, but even with, with both Staios and Tkachuk himself shutting down those rumors, do you think this is the end of the noise, that we're gonna hear with Brady Tkachuk, or is this just the beginning?
Is it the end?
No.
there may be a slight moratorium here because as you said, Emma, two years left in the contract, he can't renegotiate or he can't, sign an extension until July 1st of 2027.
So I think this year, depending on how the Senators do, and I obviously I think the fortunes, fortunes of the Senators are tied to whether he wants to stay there long term.
He's saying all the right things, but if you look at his brother Matthew and what happened in Calgary, he orchestrated his exit out of Calgary with a year left in his contract.
He said, "I'm not gonna re-sign here," and they had to trade him.
And I, I suspect, unless I'm dr- dramatically wrong, that what's gonna happen, he'll play out this year because he really has no option.
You know, he, he could ask for a trade, but I think he puts Staios in a bad position.
I think he, he, he essentially says, "I'm gonna play out the year, see how things go."
And then next summer when they're, it's, gets time for talking a new contract, he says, "Well, I'm not gonna re-sign here, and now is your opportunity to trade me and get something, at least something back in a trade."
I think that's If, if I'm wrong, fine, but I think that's the way it's gonna go.
